We Believe:
Core Theological Beliefs
  • The Trinity: Belief in one eternal God manifested in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
  • Salvation & Grace: Acceptance that all have sinned and that forgiveness comes only through repentance and faith in the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ's death and resurrection.
  • Supremacy of Scripture: The whole Bible is accepted as the inspired, infallible, and written Word of God.
  • Holiness & Sanctification: Teaching that believers should live a life of moral purity, separating themselves from ungodly behaviors

We Believe:
Distinctive Practices & Ordinances

Ordinances: The Church of God universally practices water baptism and the Lord's Supper. Many branches also practice foot-washing as a literal act of humility and service.

Pentecostal Experience: Many branches (especially the Cleveland, TN movement) emphasize the baptism of the Holy Spirit (evidenced by speaking in tongues) and actively practice spiritual gifts like divine healing.

Lifestyle Standards: Members are typically encouraged to abstain from alcohol, tobacco, recreational drugs, and ungodly media, emphasizing modest dress and a disciplined lifestyle. [1]
